FITCOTUBE® Thin-Wall Heat Shrink Tubing

Applications:
Electrical insulation, mechanical strain relief of contacts and connections. Abrasion protection for water and hydraulic hoses as well as corrosion protection for metal pipes. Identification and color-coding purposes.

Properties:
Outstanding mechanical, chemical and electrical properties. Flame resistant or self-extinguishing (not applicable for clear Polyolefin tubing).

Temperature Range: – 75°C to + 250°C
Shrink Temperature: Starting from 85°C
Shrink Ratio: 1.2:1 to 4:1
Materials: Modified cross-linked Polyolefin, Fluor plastics as well as cross-linked Elastomers
Specification: MVSS, various OEM specifications

FITCOTUBE® Dual-Wall Heat Shrink Tubing

Applications:
Sealing and encapsulation of electrical and mechanical components. Protection of splices in harnesses. Protection against humidity, electrical insulation and strain relief of contacts and wire connections. Abrasion as well as corrosion protection for water, fuel and hydraulic hoses.

Properties:
Excellent adhesion on metallic surfaces and on many plastics (different grades of hot-melt adhesives). Outstanding mechanical and chemical resistance.

Temperature Range: – 55°C up to 135°C
Shrink Temperature: Starting from 125°C
Shrink Ratio: 2:1 to 4:1
Materials: Modified cross-linked Polyolefin with an inner lining of hot-melt adhesive based on Polyethylene and Polyamide
Specification: MVSS, various OEM specifications

Heat-Shrinkable Molded Parts

Applications:
Primarily used in highly demanding operating conditions (e.g. Motor Sports). Permanent, reliable emersion and dirt proof connections of cable jacket and connector housing with strain relief. Environmentally sealed protection of wire harness branches. End seal for wires or cables joined together with parallel splices. End seal and protection for metal tube ends (e.g. antenna caps).

Properties:
Outstanding mechanical, chemical and electrical resistance. Flame resistant and self-extinguishing.

Temperature Range: – 75°C up to 200°C
Shrink Temperature: Starting from 120°C
Shrink Ratio: Up to 6:1
Materials: Modified, cross-linked Polyolefin as well as elastomers – also available with adhesive coating
Specification: VG, MIL

Solder Sleeves

Applications:
High quality, reliable electrical connection of two or more wires as well as shield terminations. Easily reproducible application, soldering, insulation and sealing in one process to professional standard.

Properties:
Outstanding mechanical, chemical and electrical resistance. Flame resistant and self-extinguishing.

Temperature Range: – 55°C up to 200°C
Shrink Temperature: From 160°C
Materials: Cadmium free, eutectic solder rings with integrated flux in heat-shrink sleeves made from HDPE as well as PVDF. Partially also supplied with meltable PE sealing rings.
Specification: MIL

FITCO®Seal Crimp Splices

Applications:
High quality, reliable electrical connection of two or more stranded wires. Heat shrink technology provides protection of the splice against environmental and mechanical stress.

Properties:
Outstanding mechanical, chemical and electrical resistance. Flame resistant and self-extinguishing.

Temperature Range: – 45°C up to 135°C
Shrink Temperature: From 110°C
Shrink Ratio: 1.2:1 to 4:1
Materials: Tin-plated, copper crimp sleeve with pre-installed adhesive coated shrink sleeve made from HDPE. Different sizes are color-coded.

FITCOFLEX® Woven Tubing

Applications:
This unique combination of woven tubing and heat shrink technology has a broad spectrum of uses in the automotive industry. Abrasion protection of harnesses, rubber hoses, plastic pipes etc. Our heat shrinkable woven tubing is often compared with products such as TE’s HFT 5000, as it shares a similar composition as well as properties.

Properties:
Highly flexible, halogen free, extremely abrasion resistant and inert from all types of fluids used in the automotive industry.

Temperature Range: – 40°C up to 125°C
Shrink Temperature: From 135°C
Shrink Ratio: 2:1
Materials: Combination of Polyethylene and polyester monofilaments

Identification Sleeves

Applications:
Various print methods offer a wide variety of identification applications for heat-shrink tubing on wires, cables, pipes and tubes. Hot stamp, thermal-transfer as well as matrix print processes provide an economical solution for every identification requirement.

Properties:
Outstanding mechanical, chemical and electrical resistance. Flame resistant and self-extinguishing.

Temperature Range: – 55°C up to 135°C
Shrink Temperature: From 90°C
Shrink Ratio: 3:1 and 2:1
